This week at Mill School Bury, they've been wholeheartedly immersed in the spirit of Children's Mental Health Week. The theme for the week this year is 'My Voice Matters,' and the children have been engaged in activities and discussions aimed at nurturing their mental well-being and empowering them to express themselves confidently.

Throughout the school, colourful posters are on display, serving as reminders of the importance of mental health. These posters not only offer practical tips on self-care but also provide valuable resources for seeking support when needed. From simple breathing exercises to reaching out to trusted adults, our children can be equipped with strategies to navigate their emotions.

In their Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) classes, the children embraced the theme and crafted posters with the things that hold significance in their lives. From hobbies to heartfelt messages, each poster was a testament to the unique voices within our school community. These exercises not only fostered a sense of self-awareness but also encouraged empathy and understanding among peers.

Moreover, our PSHE sessions sparked discussions on how children can actively participate in shaping their school environment. Empowering them to recognise the value of their voices, they explored avenues such as joining the student council meetings.
