We love to promote creativity and an entrepreneurial drive within our children and young people.
The Enterprise project at Arc School Ansley is designed to enable the young people to build a business from scratch and trade during the school weeks. The children and young people get the chance to work as part of a team to come up with new ideas for a business. They then develop a business name, design the branding and a logo, carry out market research, order their raw materials, make their product, advertise their product, price their product and finally sell their product to other young people and members of staff. Trading takes place at the end of every term; Easter and summer and Christmas.
The aim is to either:
1) Make the greatest profit.
2) Sell the greatest number of products.
At the end of each term certificates will be presented to all the participants and at the end of the academic year, prizes will go to the 3 businesses who achieve the most.
Arc School Ansley staff work with children and young people to help them become more independent and ensure they are ready for life after school. They work with the Career Connex service and have an in-house careers adviser to help students prepare for the future, some young people go on to working in the hospitality industry, joining the national service or working in care roles.
What a fantastic and exciting opportunity, watch this space to find out more and see who is going to win the prizes!
