Every week at High Peak School there is the opportunity for staff to nominate their colleagues who they feel have gone the extra mile for the children and young people. The person with the most nominations or the person that particularly stands out wins a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates that are given out every Monday morning! What a fantastic way to celebrate and appreciate the hard work and dedication going on at High Peak School at the moment to all support each other!
High Peak is an independent specialist day and residential school situated in the stunning Cheshire countryside. From its beautiful rural location, the school offers innovative and inspiring learning, social, recreational and living spaces.
The specialist multi-disciplinary team of leaders, carers, clinicians, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together. They teach and proactively support children who have been subjected to adverse childhood experiences, including trauma, toxic stress and associated mental wellbeing difficulties, aiming to break the cycle of adversity. Children and young people may also come to High Peak School because they are challenged by attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, and dyspraxia or moderate and specific learning difficulties.
It is wonderful to see the staff team working effortlessly to deliver high levels of service and ensure the impact of the current situation we are facing is minimal.
