Our Arc School Old Arley recently celebrated Mad Hatters Day, a day to celebrate the iconic character that is the Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland.
The Mad Hatter is a character who was originally illustrated by Sir John Tenniel, known for his ridiculous riddles. He is lovable and helps us bring out our silly side.
It was a perfect opportunity for children and staff to bring out their silly side and to celebrate mad facts from around the world.
In P.E. the children learnt to play Croquet, in ICT they looked at crazy code, in Art they made exploding paint and in English they looked at nonsense poetry and sentences. The children and staff wore fancy dress and at lunch time they had cake at their very own tea party style event!
