We recently heard from former Arc School Ansley pupil Olly about the wonderful achievements he has made since moving on from the school.
He told us: “Since leaving Arc School Ansley, I went on to study Criminology, Law, and Psychology as a combined BTEC which is equivalent to 3 A-Levels at college.
“I had always hoped to go to university, but there was a point where I didn’t think I would even manage to go to college, never mind university. After leaving college, I am now studying Criminology at Liverpool John Moore’s.
“I’m really enjoying it so far, and have achieved a high first in one of my modules in my first semester. Moving to Liverpool was a huge change which I wasn’t sure how I’d cope with it, but I feel like I have developed a lot on a personal level since school.
“Arc Ansley and my own hard work helped me to gain my confidence back and generally now, I am happy with how things are at the moment. University is great as I feel a lot more independent and I’ve made so many great friends here.
“Throughout the years since leaving Arc Ansley, I developed my interest in music a lot and have been to several gigs. I am a lot more confident and slowly becoming a bit happier in myself.”
We would like to thank Olly for sharing his story with us – we’re delighted to hear he’s doing so well and wish him all the very best for his future.
