We're thrilled to share an inspiring story of collaboration between two of our Kedleston Group schools, Arc School Old Arley and Arc School Ansley, all in the name of making a difference in a young person's life.
Meet Vinnie, a determined young individual from Arc School Old Arley, who was on a mission to find a solution for his recent struggle with acne. After thorough research, he discovered that local honey could be an effective remedy for his condition. With the guidance of his GP, Vinnie decided to give it a shot.
Fortunately, he didn't have to search far for local honey because Arc School Ansley, our sister provision just a short drive away, had been running an innovative initiative - their very own apiary of bees!
This beekeeping project at Arc School Ansley has been a hive of activity, benefiting subjects like science, English, maths, and business, while fostering teamwork, safety, and community engagement.
Vinnie diligently saved up his SLEUTH shop points, and they were converted into cash, allowing him to hop into a car with a staff member to buy honey directly from the source!
The results have been nothing short of amazing, showcasing the incredible healing properties of honey and the invaluable role bees play in our health, well-being, and the environment.
Vinnie is absolutely thrilled with the transformation, and this heartwarming story is a testament to the power of collaboration, determination, and, of course, our buzzy little friends, the bees!
