We thought we would check in and find out what the children in The Hub at our Mill School Bury have been up to this week.
This week, during numeracy they created a Velcro paper baker shop to support with counting and number. This allowed the children to engage in imaginative role play as they played the roles of ‘the baker’ and the customer whilst singing a number rhyme and verbalising the remaining amount of buns each time.
They have also been practicing letter formation in a number of ways including using a whiteboard, chalks and paper – here you can see one of the children using the wipe-able tracing letters, supporting his in forming the letter ‘l’.
During PE, they have been focusing on simple commands and have been doing lots of action songs to develop stop and start skills. Everyone enjoyed doing the ‘Hokey Cokey’.
Kaye (Occupational Therapist) has also carried out her assessment this week with some of the children.
Great work everyone.
