Let’s hear from another young person from our Wood Grove Children’s Home about their experiences during lockdown. The team have worked really hard during this time to think of creative, educational and fun projects to keep the children active and distracted from not being able to access their normal offsite activities.
Wood Grove creates a safe and caring environment where they provide opportunities for children and young people to achieve to their best ability and flourish. The therapeutic approach and systemic based work ensures children and young people are supported to address their feelings and emotions in a safe and supportive way.
“We can normally get involved with lots of activities in the local community like swimming, going to the gym and boxing. I have missed all of these. We have done a lot with the team at the home like cooking, crafting, playing board games and taking part physical challenges to keep fit – which has kept us busy!”
Stay tuned with us tomorrow as we check in with the children and young people from our Wings School Notts.....
