The staff sent in their favourite books and quotes, which were printed onto posters and stuck on walls and doors around the school. In their English lessons the children took part in a game with the staff to find all the quotes. There was a prize for everyone who entered the hunt!
Themed lessons were planned by teachers across World Book Day to include reading into as many sessions as possible.
The children have also been busy designing bookshelf window displays, to replace the rainbows they made in the first lockdown. The children are using the library and their own list of favourite books they’ve read this year to design a mini window book shelf. All of the staff and children are being encouraged to join in with this project and they still have plenty of window space to fill.
They are looking forward to celebrating National Engineering Science Week and Neurodiversity Week.
