What’s good about Wings School Notts?
Wings School Notts is a residential school for children and young people aged between 9 and 17 years old.
Next to the school is the home for children and young people to live during the week, some weekends and holidays.
There are lots of different living areas which are split up in to smaller more homely environments. These are Falcon: a 6 bed home, Swan, Swift and Linnet: 8 bed homes, Swallow: a 7 bed home and Hawk: a 6 bed home.
The grounds at Wings Notts are very big so there is a lot of space for playing, activities and sport. We also access lots of activities off-site.
The School Council at Wings Notts meet every half term to discuss topical events and the future of the school. Representatives were democratically voted by the student body, and they epitomise the school community values of honesty, responsibility, confidence, and friendship.
A typical meeting would ensure that all representatives act as the voice of all students and the council openly and fairly discusses any school issues with the Senior Leadership Team in school, and, where necessary, vote on action to be taken. Representatives provide leadership and guidance to the school community and play a part in determining policy and future decisions.
