Brookways hosted their very first Careers Fair two weeks ago on the 29th of June. 

Lots of different professionals/college representatives came to the school and they set up an outdoor area to keep within Covid restrictions! 

In small groups, the Secondary and Upper Primary children went and spoke to representatives of their choosing, asking questions about their job including working hours, qualifications needed, and even salary! The children were really engaged by the experience and were talking about “how cool” some of the jobs were especially roles within the police and army. 

Brookways supports young people to gain the knowledge, skills and qualifications from primary levels right through to GCSEs, along with a range of other vocational qualifications depending on interest and needs.

At every stage of their education they focus on preparing children and young people for the next stage, putting the development of their independence at the heart of everything they do. Their ultimate goal is for all children and young people to be confident and capable young people who leave school equipped to lead fulfilling lives in this rapidly changing world.
