When David* came to Wood Grove, his aim, and that of his family, was to return home.
After a very positive 18-month stay, recently their desire became reality and the smile on the face of this young man was a joy to behold when he was told he had achieved his aim and he was returning home.
His issues stemmed from difficulties in managing his emotions, much of which came from his lack of self-esteem.
David was supported throughout his time at Wood Grove to make progress in a number of areas. Working with the staff team, for example, David made significant progress in managing his emotions and building his self-esteem. The relationship between Wood Grove and the network of support surrounding this young man also played a fundamental role in reaching this positive outcome.
David is now happily settled at home having achieved his goal.
