Our School
We are creating a learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and happy that they belong. We want our pupils to be as ambitious for themselves as we are for them. Our vision is for every pupil to be the best version of themselves, to have pride and self- belief in their abilities and a desire to learn. We are committed to helping them discover their talents and develop the skills they need to get to where they choose to be by the time they leave our school.
Our Curriculum Approach
We will find the best learning approach for each pupil. For some that will lead to a more academic pathway and for others a vocational approach will suit them better. All of our pupils will have opportunities to gain qualifications across a range of subjects that suit their learning needs, from GCSEs and Functional Skills to other national accreditations. They will also be supported to attain those all-important life skills needed to navigate the busy world beyond school. There will be a strong focus on developing independence and employability skills.
Integrated Therapeutic Support
Speech and Language and Occupational therapists, together with a part-time Educational Psychologist will collaborate with teaching colleagues to offer a therapeutic whole school approach to support pupil development. They will also deliver individual and group interventions where needed to help pupils on their learning journey.
